How could you reach the pearl by only looking at the sea? If you seek the pearl, be a diver: the diver needs several qualities: he must trust his rope and his life to the Friend’s hand, he must stop breathing, and he must jump.
Good character is more to be praised than outstanding talent. Most talents to some extent are a gift. Good character by contrast is not given to us, we have to build it piece by piece, by thought, choice, courage and determination.
Don’t miss out on what’s happening now because you are waiting for something better to come along. You can’t live for the future, just like you can’t line in the past.
