  1. You’ve got to be kidding me? I don’t know if my wrtiing comes off as though I am enthusiastic but the truth is I am quite the antithesis of that. Intense? Sure. Enthusiastic? Hell no. The truth of the matter is that beyond either of those two things, I am realistic. I am not full to the brim with piss and vinegar, because I recognize all too well, that life has the utmost ability to not only push us to our limits, but way beyond them. Anyone that doesn’t recognize that we will all fall, we will all fail, we will get pushed to the ground and that life isn’t always as we planned is damn ignorant. It’s in those moments though, that we have the ability to react as we best see fit. We ALWAYS have that choice, no matter how dire or bleak the situation. As long as you have a breath of life in you, you always have the choice to react in a way that will serve you and those you care about, or not. What this quote was simply about is the simple fact that many people go through life giving up on things that they want far too easily, because they have messed up and instead of picking their asses off of the ground and doing what they should be doing in order to get what they want, they whine, bitch and complain that they either don’t know what to do or that it’s too damn hard. The point is to move past that failure, move past what’s standing in front of you. And you know what? If you can’t move past it, at least you can have some solace in knowing that you did everything you could. Now where you took that quote and used a tragic, yet inspiring story, of Christopher Reeve and said that because he couldn’t walk, the quote was wrong. You picked one of the rare examples where working hard didn’t meet YOUR expectations of what he should have been able to do because he tried and failed. Well, my true response is, No shit, sometimes life doesn’t meet your expectations. That still doesn’t mean that the quote was A-wrong or B-that someone else’s life has to meet your expectations in order for that person to have overcome the obstacles that life threw at him. As for your above example Eight words: Don’t be an idiot. Try a different method. Which is EXACTLY what the quote was about!
